Hi, I'm Dom!

I’m glad and grateful you’re here. Seeking out counseling services takes courage and curiosity, and no one should walk that road alone. It’s my aim to accompany you through the counseling journey and to always be an empathetic and thoughtful presence.

As someone who’s long been fascinated by the ways emotions, thoughts, and behaviors interact and inform one another, I love to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions with clients. I’m also drawn to Existential Theory—that is, the practice of calling out the central questions of existence (life, death, meaning, community) and bringing those into the present so that one can accept responsibility for their choices and live a more intentional life.

Last, I have a keen interest in Narrative Therapy. As humans, we are storytelling creatures, and I’ve heard it said that the stories we live in are the stories we live out. I love examining the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves in the hope that identifying those narrative constructs enables us to name and pursue new possibilities for our future lives.

While I personally hold Christian beliefs, I’m aware that each person explores spirituality in their own way. Whatever your beliefs, you are welcome here, and we can incorporate spirituality into our work as much or as little as you choose.

I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2008 with a B.A. in Cinema Broadcast Arts. In 2020, I graduated from Pacific University with an MFA in Writing, and I’m set to graduate from Colorado Christian University in December 2027 with an MA in Counseling.

Outside of work, I love reading books and watching movies. I have a deep practice of creative writing, specifically poetry and nonfiction. I adore spending time with my wife and children. I’m a novice gardener, and I also enjoy cooking and running.

I intern under the supervision of Dr. Bart Fowler, M.A., Psy.D., a licensed psychologist in Washington (PY60153263) and Oregon (1297). My practice adheres to the laws and regulations governing counselors in both Oregon and Washington, as well as the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics.
